Simona Žutautaitė (b. 1991, Kaunas, Lithuania)

I began my creative journey at the age of 29, embracing my sensitivity as the foundation of my artistic practice.

My photographic work emerges not from observing the external world, but from an inner sense of perception. It is a creative space closely connected to a therapeutic experience, where the most important aspect is the journey inward—not to change who we are, but to accept what already exists within us.

Over time, this practice evolved into the photographic series You Are Poetry, created between 2021 and 2024. Through this body of work, my artistic direction became clear: an exploration of human inner experiences, vulnerability, and transformation, with nature serving as an inseparable part of this dialogue.

Today, my practice continues as a slow and attentive exploration of the human experience. Photography becomes an experience shared between myself, the person in front of the camera, and ultimately, the viewer.
